Dr. Hanke is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the treatment of skin cancer, dermatologic surgery, laser and cosmetic surgery. He founded the Mohs Micrographic Surgery Unit at Indiana University School of Medicine in 1979. During the next 18 years, he treated more than 20,000 patients with skin cancer.

Dr. Hanke achieved distinction as Professor of Dermatology, Pathology, and Otolaryngology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He was the first physician in the United States to earn this triple academic rank. He is a frequent lecturer in the United States and Europe, and he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology. He has served as President of the Indiana Division of the American Cancer Society and six national surgical specialty organizations. He is listed in "Best Doctors in America" and in "America's Top Doctors," and he has received multiple national awards for his work.

Dr. Hanke is certified by five specialty boards (Dermatology (ABMS), Dermatopathology (ABMS), Laser Surgery (Independent), Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology (Independent), and Cosmetic Surgery (Independent). He has authored or co-authored more than 240 articles and books in the medical literature genre.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology. She earned her M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and completed her residency training at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University where she was chief resident.

Anthony A. Gaspari, MD, is chairman of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and chief of dermatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. At the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Gaspari is the Shapiro Professor of Dermatology as well as a professor of microbiology and immunology. He is the director of the cutaneous immunopathology laboratory at the University of Maryland Medical Center, which studies and diagnoses complex skin disorders through cellular analysis, and he also holds the distinction of being the past president of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Dr. Gaspari has a special interest and expertise in immunology and skin allergies.

Evelyn Koestenblatt, MS, MT (ASCP), has worked in the area of Clinical Microbiology for over 30 years. She is currently a Clinical Research Manager at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Department of Dermatology and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York Medical College, where she teaches and supervises Metropolitan Hospital Center's Mycology Clinic.

For 16 years she worked at Lenox Hill Hospital in the Clinical Microbiology Department, where she first gained an appreciation for Medical Mycology and teaching. As an Adjunct Professor, Evelyn taught Microbiology and Mycology at Long Island University. She has had vast experience teaching and mentoring dermatology residents at various medical centers in and around the New York metropolitan area. She enjoys spreading the word on the importance of "thinking fungus."

She was recently elected president of the New York City Chapter of the Society of Medical Mycology.
